BJP slams Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Hydrogen Bomb’ claims, calls him irresponsible

New Delhi, Sept 1 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today slammed Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for his repeated references to “Atom Bomb” and threats to unleash a “Hydrogen Bomb” in the political arena, which it said, has little connection to electoral politics.

Former union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, addressing the media here, said, “Whenever I listen to Rahul Gandhi, whether inside or outside Parliament, it takes time to understand what he is trying to say. How are the atom bomb and hydrogen bomb related to elections? Rahul Gandhi is being irresponsible.”

This sharp rebuke came after the Congress leader doubled down on his allegations of “vote chori” (vote theft) and warned the BJP of an impending expose he described as a “hydrogen bomb.” Prasad dismissed these claims as baseless and difficult to comprehend.

“Before speaking, Rahul Gandhi should respect the dignity of his position,” they said. “How many remember the bitterness and hate he has spread under the guise of love?”

Prasad also accused Rahul Gandhi of irresponsibility and noted the absence of Lok Sabha member and RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti from the political scene during his visit, calling it a “family matter.”

He said while Rahul Gandhi has become a main political player, Bihar RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has been reduced to playing a secondary role.

The BJP leader stated that the Election Commission has conducted fair elections wherever polls were held, pointing to Congress’s defeats in Haryana and Delhi as evidence of public sentiment.

He also accused Rahul Gandhi of spreading falsehoods about voters’ rights and insulting the electorate of Bihar. “How can Rahul Gandhi claim that everything since 2014 has been fraudulent?”

The BJP leader recalled the days when elections in Bihar were conducted on ballot papers, emphasising the improvement in electoral integrity, including the elimination of booth capturing and the denial of voting rights to illegal immigrants.

Rahul Gandhi was also questioned on his silence regarding affidavits, which are legal documents. Prasad asserted that any falsehood in such affidavits invites legal action, implying Rahul Gandhi knows this well and that is why he’s not filing any paper in the Supreme Court.

In conclusion, the BJP leader dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s yatra as ineffective, stating, “Some people live only in photos and cutouts. How many more times will Rahul Gandhi issue threats?”
