- CM addresses poll rallies at various places in state
Bhopal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is set to secure victory once again in the state, paving the way for accelerated development. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed this sentiment during his addresses at various election rallies in multiple districts on Thursday.
Chief Minister Chouhan spoke to the public in Prithvipur, Maharajpur, Gunnaur, Raigaon, Satna, Dindori, and Tikamgarh, emphasizing his visit as an opportunity to seek their blessings for a successful outcome. He stressed that elections are merely a pretext, and his primary purpose was to connect with the people. He likened his approach to running a family rather than just a government, and he consistently affirms that Madhya Pradesh is his sacred abode, with the local residents being his revered deities, while he sees himself as their guardian.
Reflecting on the past 18 years, Chouhan highlighted his efforts to ensure the happiness of his ‘family’ and the welfare of the public, resulting in the implementation of numerous beneficial schemes. He also credited the country’s continuous development to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, noting that Madhya Pradesh is likewise progressing under the “double engine government.”
In a sardonic remark directed at the Congress, Chief Minister Chouhan ridiculed their claims of the “Kamal Nath model.” He questioned the nature of this model, dismissing it as a relic associated with corruption, crime, and commissions, which is no longer relevant in the present day. Kamal Nath’s model is considered outdated and ineffective.
Shivraj said The Congress government spared no effort in undermining and devastating Madhya Pradesh. During Kamal Nath’s tenure as Chief Minister, they often lamented a lack of funds, claiming that the treasury had been emptied. However, I want to assure you, my fellow citizens, that I have the resources and determination to serve the public. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
It’s worth noting that Kamal Nath and the Congress halted public welfare schemes in the state during their short 1.25-year rule. Now, Kamal Nath is attempting to shift the credit to the BJP, but what happened during his tenure? He governed for 15 years without fulfilling his responsibilities properly. The Kamal Nath-led Congress government committed a grave mistake by discontinuing all the BJP’s initiatives.
Within just over a year, the Congress government terminated the Sambal Yojana, cut the Rs 1000 grant to Baiga, Bharia, and Sahariya sisters, confiscated children’s laptops, failed to provide funds for girls’ marriages, and even discontinued the pilgrimage program. But now, we have restarted the pilgrimage, and this time, we’ll offer both rail and air travel options.
During an election meeting in Deori, Sagar district, an emotional moment unfolded. When Chouhan arrived in Deori to support the BJP candidate, a sister approached the stage with a basket of custard apples as a gift for her beloved brother Shivraj. In a heartwarming gesture, Shivraj invited his dear sister onto the stage and enjoyed custard apples from her hands. Thousands of people in attendance witnessed this touching display of love and affection between a brother and his sister.
