- BJP on back foot due to displeasure of their own MLAs
Administrative Correspondent, Bhopal
The displeasure of one BJP MLA does not subside and then the displeasure of another MLA comes to the fore. In this sequence, BJP MLA from Deori, Brijbihari Pateria, first resigned after being upset due to lack of hearing in his own government, but when the government and the organization engaged in damage control, the anger of the night subsided by morning and then he also withdrew his resignation. Here, Pataria’s anger may have subsided, but BJP’s strong leader and former minister Gopal Bhargava has shown sharp attitude in this matter and has expressed deep displeasure over the attitude of the officers and called it intolerable.
In fact, in Medki village of Deori MLA Pateria’s area, a government doctor had demanded a bribe of 40 thousand rupees for the assistance amount of 4 lakh rupees given by the state government on the death of a person due to snake bite. This bribe was to be given for the postmortem report, so that it could be confirmed that the death was due to snake bite, but the doctor did not give such a report on not getting the bribe amount. When the villagers complained about this to the MLA, the MLA reached the police station and demanded to register an FIR against the doctor, but the TI of the police station also ignored the MLA’s demand. Distressed by this, Pateria wrote a letter to the Speaker of the Assembly last night, in which he had talked about resigning. Here, after the MLA’s sharp attitude, an FIR has been registered against the accused doctor in this case. At the same time, the TI of Kesli police station has also been line attached.
After the resignation letter of MLA Pateria went viral on social media, both the BJP government and the organization came into action, the process of persuasion started at all levels, this campaign also brought results in a short time and then Pataria posted a post on social media, in which he described the resignation as a step taken in anger and announced to withdraw the resignation. He described the resignation as unfortunate in the post and said that now the government and the organization are with me, I will follow the order of the Chief Minister, now there is no question of resignation.
Tweet by Gopal Bhargava
Senior BJP leader Gopal Bhargava tweeted that just late night I got the information that Brij Bihari Pataria, MLA of my nearest assembly constituency Deori, has sent his resignation from the membership of the Legislative Assembly to the Speaker of the Assembly and he has sat on a dharna in Kesli police station. The above incident is sad, even on the incident of a person’s death, money is being demanded by the government employees for making the death certificate. The working style and behaviour of such irresponsible officers will not be tolerated.
