BJP launches ‘Swadeshi’ Campaign

Lucknow, Sep 29 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh unit president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary today said that self-reliant India is not just a government scheme but a campaign.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s state headquarters, Chaudhary said that the ‘Swadeshi in every home’ campaign has been launched from Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary to Pandit Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary.

“This is the Prime Minister’s call for a self-reliant India. From the Covid crisis to today, India has stood up for itself in every crisis. India has shown its strength even in the most difficult times,” he said.

He said that due to Make in India, the country is also attracting foreign investment. “Farmers are at the core of self-reliant India. Self-employment and ‘Vocal for Local’ are becoming an identity in every village. Historic production is taking place in the defence sector. Self-reliant India is not just a government scheme but a campaign,” he said.

The state president said that the self-reliant campaign will run from September to December 25.

“The goal is to make India developed by the year 2047,” he said.

He said that he has appealed to the country’s 140 crore people to buy only indigenous products. “Today, we have become the fourth-largest economy and are moving towards becoming the third. The party has designed the PM’s campaign,” he said.
