Bhopal: In order to protest against alleged anti-farmer polices of State Congress Government, Bharatiya Janata Party orgnaised Kisan Akrosh Andolan across the State, on Monday. Former State President, Nandkumar Singh Chouhan led the protest in Jabalpur. Senior BJP leaders alleged that the Congress Government has betrayed farmers. It had made hollow claims of loan waiver to the farmers. Get troubled with loan recovery, the farmers are bound to commit suicide.
They said farmers have not been provided with compensation of crops which they lost during heavy rains. They too are not getting needed electricity for irrigation. Farmers are not given benefits of Bhavantar Yojana. Hence to protest against such injustice being done with farmers, the BJP is carrying out Kisan Akrosh Andolan across the State on Monday.
Party leaders, workers and farmers would stage protest and would burn electricity bills. City President G S Thakur informed that party leaders and workers gathered at Naudra Bridge and took out march to Collectorate. They would also submit memorandum against alleged anti-farmer policies of the Govt. Senior party leaders including MLA Ajay Vishnoi, MLA Ashok Rohani, MLA Sushil Tiwari, Nandani Maravi, Mayor, Dr Swati Godbole, District Panchayat President, Manorama Patel, former Minister, Sharad Jain, Pratibha Singh, former Mayor, Prabhat Sahu, Sandeep Jain, Rajesh Mishra and others have appealed party workers to participate in the protest in large number.
