Jitu Patwari unleashes scathing sttack
Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari launched a scathing attack on the BJP government, accusing it of running an event management campaign in the name of investment for the past two decades.
Investor summits: Glamour over groundwork
Patwari criticized the government’s obsession with high-profile investor summits, saying, “Over 11 summits and thousands of MOUs have yielded little real-world progress. More than 80% of promised investments never materialized. These summits are reduced to posters, hoardings, and press conferences.”
Two decades of hollow promises
Despite repeated claims of attracting investments worth lakhs of crores, Patwari pointed out that the ground reality remains dismal. “There’s no major push for MSMEs, no long-term employment model, and certainly no industrial revolution in rural Madhya Pradesh.”
2023–24 investment claims: Just number games
He slammed the BJP’s Rs 3 lakh crore investment claims in 2023–24 as statistical illusions, asserting that less than 10% of the announced investments have actually taken shape.
Farm-based industries ignored
Patwari highlighted the government’s neglect of agriculture-linked industries, pointing out the lack of processing units, cold storage infrastructure, and the deteriorating state of mandis. “Even MSP procurement is marred by corruption,” he added.
Youth betrayed on jobs
He accused the BJP of misleading youth on employment. “Unemployment is soaring, especially among educated youth. Scandals like Vyapam have shattered their trust,” Patwari said.
No big industry under CM Mohan Yadav
Questioning CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s performance, Patwari noted the absence of major industries or job-creation initiatives and said the government has no credible data on youth training or placement.
Congress’ final word: Time for real governance
“Enough with slogans and deception,” Patwari declared. “Madhya Pradesh needs a government that works on the ground — not one that hides behind banners and numbers.”
