New Delhi, Aug 15 (UNI) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva today criticised Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for their latest attempt to engage students through a new youth wing, the Association of Students for Alternative Politics (ASAP).
Sachdeva claimed that AAP’s previous student wing, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), had failed to make an impact despite the party being in power for a decade.
Sachdeva said that CYSS did not win any student union elections either in Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, or Jamia Millia Islamia, and AAP often avoided contesting polls fearing defeat.
He argued that Delhi’s youth had already rejected AAP due to its “corrupt politics”, and the rebranded ASAP would meet the same fate.
The BJP leader also mocked AAP’s use of “Alternative Politics”, recalling that Kejriwal had initially gained traction with the same slogan in 2013 before losing youth support.
