New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, while lambasting the BJP and Congress, on Saturday asked them to officially announce their alliance against AAP.
Addressing the media, Kejriwal also asked people to decide whether they want to vote in the name of abuses or in the name of work.
“We are presenting our track record of 10 years and our plan for the next five years, while BJP offers nothing but abuses,” he said asking BJP and Congress to officially announce their alliance against AAP.
Replying to media question, the AAP National Convenor said,“So far, BJP neither has a Chief Ministerial face, nor a narrative, nor a vision for Delhi. In the last ten years, they have done no work. This is why BJP’s only strategy is to win this election by abusing the AAP.”
“We are telling people about the work we have done in the last ten years and the work we will do in the next five years. We are asking for votes based on our work. In contrast, the BJP is asking for votes by abusing Kejriwal relentlessly for the past decade and working to come up with even better abuses in the next five years,” he alleged.
“They have nothing constructive to offer. The public has to decide whether they will vote in the name of abuses or in the name of work,” Kejriwal said.
Addressing the question on women protesting outside his residence over poll promises made before the Punjab elections, Kejriwal claimed, “These women belong to Congress and BJP, not Punjab. All women in Punjab stand with the AAP. They trust us.”
“The Congress and BJP should officially declare that they are contesting elections against AAP in an alliance. This covert, behind-the-scenes collaboration is unacceptable,” he said pointing out that the public has stopped taking Congress seriously.
“The BJP is facing three types of ‘aapda’ (crisis). First, the BJP does not have a Chief Ministerial face. Second, BJP lacks a narrative; they do not even know on which issue they should fight the election.
Third, the BJP has no agenda for this election,” Kejriwal said, targeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah of worsening law and order in the city.
“Women in Delhi are crying, screaming, and shouting, but their pleas are not reaching Amit Shah’s ears. Traders are weeping and begging for mercy. They are asking for protection from gangsters, but their voices are not being heard. If Amit Shah could take some time out from toppling and forming governments and buying MLAs, he should focus a little on Delhi’s law and order,” the former Delhi CM said.
