- Fear of protest on release of list of dist presidents
- Possibility of release of list of 40-45 dist chiefs
Administrative correspondent, Bhopal
The list of BJP district presidents in the state can be released anytime now. It is expected that this list will be released in a day or two. With the release of the list, the fear of sharp opposition regarding the new district presidents of BJP has started haunting the BJP organization. Therefore, even before the release of the list, the BJP organization has started preparing for damage control.
Even after the intervention of the BJP high command, it is being said that only the names of 40 to 45 district presidents will be announced in the state. There are more than a dozen districts in which consensus could not reach on the names, due to which there can be dissatisfaction on a large scale.
The list of some other districts including Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Dhar, Sagar, is expected to be put on hold. The names of the district presidents will be announced later. There is also a possibility that the names of the presidents of some of these districts will be announced after the announcement of the name of the new state president.
Senior leaders will also be given the responsibility
The state leadership is assuming that even though the list of BJP district presidents will be released only after the consent and recommendation of the central high command, even after that, opposition to the new district presidents is certain. It is believed that there will be at least two dozen districts where the voices of protest will be loud, there the responsibility of persuading and appeasing the protesting Mandal presidents and other workers will be of the senior leaders of the district along with the MLAs and MPs of the area. Not only this, ministers will also be given the responsibility of persuading the workers.
Opposed bringing Carbide garbage
Although the list of BJP district presidents was to be announced by now, after the garbage kept in the Union Carbide premises reached Pithampur, the situation worsened due to the protest there. Even Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya initially opposed bringing garbage here. Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava also made a statement against bringing garbage to Pithampur. After that, there was a huge protest against this garbage in the areas around Dhar, Indore and Pithampur, which worsened the situation. Among the protesters were workers of the ruling party BJP, so the BJP organization had to come into the field to calm down the voice of protest. On Saturday, the entire BJP organization remained in Indore and handled the situation by holding a meeting with MPs, MLAs and public representatives. However, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also announced a ban on immediate disposal of garbage in view of the protest late Friday night and made it clear that now garbage will be disposed of only with everyone’s consent. However, due to the government and the organization being busy with the garbage issue, the matter of releasing the list of BJP district presidents got stuck.
