Bible festival concludes with spiritual fervor

Bhopal: The Bible festival, organized by the Archdiocese of Bhopal at Assumption Church in Arera Colony concluded successfully on Thursday. A large number of Christian faithful gathered to participate in worship, prayer, and spiritual reflection.

The final day also marked the Silver Jubilee (25 years) of priestly life for four senior priests, making the event even more special. In the morning session, Father Jeevan delivered a homily, urging believers to seek spiritual gain over worldly profit and to grow in faith and holiness.

In the afternoon, the Holy Eucharist was celebrated with deep reverence. The Assumption Church dance troupe led a devotional entrance dance for the Archbishop and priests. The Mass was led by Father Michael Sebastian, along with fellow Silver Jubilarians: Father Sibi Joseph, Father Thomas Philip, and Father Antony Akkanath.

Father Antony, in his sermon, emphasized that the true purpose of life is to grow in the love of God and others—hallmarks of sainthood.

A felicitation ceremony followed, where Archbishop Dr. A.A.S. Durairaj and others congratulated the jubilarians. Father Sibi Joseph offered a heartfelt vote of thanks.

Father Alfred D’Souza, PRO, noted, “This event united the Catholic community and was a powerful display of the Lord’s grace.”
