Bhopal’s Nepali Samaj holds annual meet

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – The Shri Pashupatinath Nepali Samaj of Govindpura, Bhopal, successfully held its 47th Annual General Meeting today at the community’s temple. The gathering saw the unanimous approval of the society’s annual financial and progress reports, alongside the passing of several key resolutions.

Presided over by President Lokmani Ghimire and conducted by General Secretary Suresh Pandey, the meeting served as a vital platform for ward representatives to highlight community concerns.

In his address, President Ghimire hailed the meeting as “historic,” noting the widespread appreciation for their work. He stressed the importance of reaching every Nepali individual to strengthen the community further. Ghimire particularly emphasized empowering youth and women, calling them the “backbone of every society” and urging increased participation in temple activities. He called on all members to responsibly fulfill their duties to bolster social unity.

The event concluded with a traditional welcome for officials, who were adorned with Nepali caps and garlands. Notable attendees included former presidents Diwakar Aryal, Vishnu Sharma, and Jagannath Paudel, among other current and past dignitaries, underscoring the community’s commitment to collective progress and solidarity.
