Bhopal: A JEE student died after falling from the 9th floor of a multi-story building in Kota. The student was a resident of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
He had been living in a rented flat with his mother in Kota for two years. The incident occurred around 3:30 pm on Friday. Police are investigating whether it was an accident or suicide.
DSP Yogesh Sharma said, “Ishaan Paliwal (18) had been living with his mother in Kota for two years. He suffered a head injury after falling from the ninth floor of the Royal Imperial Multi-Story Building.”
He was taken to a private hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries. His body has been kept in the mortuary at MBS Hospital.
The student’s father, Vivek Paliwal, is an engineer in Bhopal and has been informed of the accident. He lives at Siddharth Lake City, Anand Nagar, Raisen Road, Bhopal.
The mother, Tara Paliwal, is unable to speak and has been unconscious since the accident. A postmortem will be conducted on Saturday after the father arrives.
Police arrived at the scene to investigate after receiving information about the student’s fall.
Police are examining CCTV footage. Police arrived at the scene and examined the exterior angles, balconies, and other possible locations of the multi-story building. Police also examined CCTV footage from the surrounding area and the situation inside the flat. The FSL team also collected evidence at the scene.
