Bhopal: Fitness enthusiasm reached its peak in the capital on Sunday morning as thousands participated in the 11th annual Bhopal Run, held with the theme “Run for the Hearts of India.” People from all age groups joined the event with great zeal, promoting messages of health, environmental protection, and cleanliness.
The event highlighted several key objectives, including a clean India, reducing carbon footprint, the zero-waste campaign, organ donation, tobacco-free living, and the principles of reuse, recycle, and reduce.
Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang flagged off the run at TT Nagar Stadium. He described Run Bhopal Run as a symbol of the city’s spirit and said it would further strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India–Hit India campaign. According to him, thousands of citizens participated and delivered a strong message of health awareness.
Three Competitive Categories
The run took place in three categories starting from TT Nagar Stadium. The 21 km Half Marathon passed through Platinum Plaza, Jawahar Chowk, Bhadbhada Road, Palash Residency, Polytechnic Square, VIP Road, U-turn to Koh-e-fiza, Bharat Bhavan, Manav Sangrahalaya, Shyamala Hills, Jawahar Chowk, and back to TT Nagar Stadium.
The 10 km Run passed through Model School, Platinum Plaza, Atal Path, Jawahar Chowk, Bhadbhada Road, Science Center, Polytechnic Square then U-turn and back to TT Nagar Stadium.
Similarly, 5 km Run began from TT Nagar Stadium and returned to its starting point while passing through Platinum Plaza, Atal Path, and Jawahar Chowk and U-turn return to starting point.

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement, boosted by dhol, DJ music, and a lively Zumba session. The collective energy of participants from across the city made the Sunday morning vibrant and memorable.
