Bhopal: The Bhopal Railway Division has posted impressive revenue figures for May 2025, earning a total of Rs 163.05 crore, thanks to sustained efforts to improve service quality and boost earnings across key sectors.
Under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, the Commercial Department team adopted a coordinated and strategic approach, leading to notable performance in both passenger and freight transportation.
Passenger services lead the charge
Out of the total revenue, the largest contribution came from passenger traffic, with Rs 78.28 crore earned from approximately 35.85 lakh passengers. Freight transport also played a critical role, generating
Rs 65.32 crore. Additional earnings came from other coaching services (Rs 6.75 crore) and miscellaneous sources (Rs 12.70 crore), highlighting the division’s balanced growth across different revenue streams.
