Bhopal police unveils fake recruitment exam scam

Bhopal: The Misrod Police have successfully busted a gang involved in cheating during the CBSE recruitment exam held at the Central School CRPF Camp in Bangrasia. Acting swiftly, the police arrested three individuals, including a fake candidate, a middleman, and the real candidate whose place was being taken by the impostor.

The incident came to light on April 20 when the principal of the Central School CRPF Camp alerted the authorities about an unidentified person appearing for the exam in place of a genuine candidate named Bablesh Meena. Upon receiving the information, the police rushed to the scene and apprehended Sonu Kumar Mishra, the impersonator.

During questioning, Sonu Kumar revealed that he was there at the behest of Jaswant Meena, who had arranged for him to take Bablesh Meena’s exam. According to Sonu, Jaswant had struck a deal with Bablesh for a sum of Rs 10 lakh, offering Sonu an advance of Rs 50,000 for stepping in as the fake candidate. Jaswant’s goal was to pocket a commission of Rs 6 lakh from the entire arrangement.

Based on further technical analysis and interrogation, the police also arrested the mastermind, Jaswant Kumar Meena, along with the original candidate, Bablesh Meena. The authorities seized a tablet, two mobile phones, ID cards, and a cash sum of Rs 1,50,000 from the accused.
