Bhopal: In a significant effort to curb property crime, the Bhopal city police have successfully recovered 50 lost mobile phones, collectively valued at approximately Rs 8 lakhs, using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. This initiative, guided by senior police officials, aims for a 100% recovery rate for such cases.
Acting on directives from Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra and Additional Commissioner Awadhesh Goswami, a team led by Police Station In-charge Jai Hind Sharma of MP Nagar Police Station spearheaded the operation. The team diligently tracked various numbers and updated information from the CEIR portal to locate the missing devices.
The recovered phones have been returned to their rightful owners, bringing joy and relief to the complainants who had lost all hope. The successful operation not only highlights the police’s commitment to public service but also demonstrates the effectiveness of technology in modern law enforcement. The police team, including Sub-Inspector Kuldeep Khare and Constables Brijkishore Sharma, Vishwanath Gurjar, Manoj Jat, Pradeep Sastiya, and Mithun Alawa, were commended for their commendable work.
