- Free check-ups, cycle marathon, and PM Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat”
Bhopal: In a pioneering initiative for the city, a unique event blending sports, health, and media unfolded on Sunday in Arera Colony, Chunabhatti, and Kolar. Organized by Sports Authority of India (SAI), FIT India, and Central Group India, in collaboration with the Media Federation of India, the day featured a mega free health check-up camp and a cycle marathon.
Dr. Nitin Verma, CMD of Central Group India and Central Group of Hospitals (CGH), stated that as part of CGH’s CSR activities, their team offered free multi-specialist consultations, medicine distribution, ECGs, basic blood tests, and vital checks to all participants and local residents.
The “Sundays on Cycle” event, involving journalists nationwide, aims to unearth hidden sports talent and promote the FIT India & Khelo India “Fight Obesity” campaign. Around 450 participants received refreshments, lunch, medals, and trophies.
The event, graced by MLA Bhagwan Das Sabnani and other dignitaries, ran parallel to PM Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” program, followed by a public grievance redressal session (“Jan Sunwai”) by MLA Sabnani, attended by high-ranking Madhya Pradesh government officials.
