- Stars and Olympians to join massive fitness rally on Sunday
Bhopal: Bhopal is all set to turn the pedals for health as the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) hosts the 56th edition of “Fit India Sunday on Cycle” tomorrow. Over 1,200 participants, including students, fitness influencers, and citizens, will gather for this high-octane event. The rally will see a star-studded lineup featuring MP Sports Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi, and Olympian judoka Garima Chaudhary, alongside a host of international athletes like cricketer Aniket Verma and kayaker Jaspreet Singh.
Beyond the cycling track, the event promises a holistic fitness carnival with Yoga, Zumba, tug-of-war, and rope skipping sessions. Launched as a national movement to combat obesity and reduce carbon footprints, the campaign has already mobilized over 2.2 million people across India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has frequently lauded the initiative in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, emphasizing its role in balancing personal discipline with national well-being. By merging #FightObesity with #PollutionKaSolution, this Sunday’s rally at MANIT aims to transform fitness from a choice into a daily lifestyle, encouraging the youth of Bhopal to lead the charge toward a healthier and more sustainable future.
