Bhopal Drug Trafficking Case: High Court Grants Conditional Bail to Two Suspects including Yaseen Machhli

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted conditional bail to Yasin Machhli and Aman Dahiya, who were arrested by the Bhopal Crime Branch in connection with a drug trafficking case. Justice P.K. Agarwal’s single bench ordered both men to report to the police station on the 10th and 25th of every month.

Evidence Scrutinized by Court

The defense successfully argued that the duo was neither named in the primary accused’s memorandum nor were narcotics recovered from them. The court also noted that the seizure memo contained a glaring error, displaying an incorrect date (July 20, 2025). Sub-Inspector Nitin Kumar Patel, when summoned, attributed the flaw to a “typing mistake,” raising questions about the thoroughness of the Crime Branch’s initial evidence collection.

Crackdown Intensifies on Machhli Family Finances

Despite the bail, the Crime Branch is escalating its investigation into the Machhli family’s financial dealings. Following incomplete disclosure during a previous visit, the family is now being summoned individually with strict instructions to bring original documents and comprehensive details of their bank accounts and properties.

The Crime Branch is currently investigating crores of rupees exchanged through the family’s accounts. Sohail Machhli was called for questioning on Friday and Shariq Machhli is scheduled to appear on October 19. The multiple summonses indicate a concentrated effort to uncover the source and movement of the family’s wealth.
