Bhopal: The first batch of retiring railway personnel for 2026 was honored in a dignified ceremony at the Divisional Railway Office on Friday. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Pankaj Tyagi presided over the event, bidding a heartfelt farewell to 32 employees who concluded their dedicated service this January. Highlighting the administration’s efficiency, a staggering total of Rs 18,37,81,258 was disbursed through NEFT as final settlement dues during the program.
Beyond financial benefits, the retirees were presented with Pension Payment Orders (PPOs), complimentary passes, identity cards, and medical facility cards to ensure a secure post-retirement life. Senior officials, including ADRM Abhiram Khare and Senior DPO Vijay Singh, lauded the staff for their invaluable contribution to the nation’s lifeline. Representatives from SBI and PNB were also present to brief the retirees on tailored pension schemes. The ceremony concluded as a poignant tribute to decades of hard work, ensuring that these railway veterans transition into their new chapter with both respect and financial stability.
