Bhopal: The prize distribution ceremony of the Open Badminton Tournament 2025–26, organised under the aegis of the BHEL Officers Club, was held with enthusiasm at BHEL, Bhopal. Executive Director of BHEL Bhopal, Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, attended the event as chief guest and honoured winners and runners-up of all categories with trophies and certificates.
Club president Rupesh Tailang, General Manager (Feeders and TCB Manufacturing, Commercial and Maintenance), and Vikas Khare, General Manager (EM), were also present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay said sports are essential not only for physical fitness but also for inculcating discipline and leadership qualities among young talents, and praised the initiative of the BHEL Officers Club.
The five-day tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from players from Bhopal and nearby regions. More than 180 players competed across sub-junior, junior, senior, masters and women’s and men’s categories. At the conclusion, badminton secretary Ashish Kumar expressed gratitude to referees, organisers, participants and the management committee for the successful conduct of the tournament.
