Bhopal: Under the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, BHEL Bhopal organised a prize distribution ceremony on Wednesday to recognise winners of various competitions held throughout the week. Rajendra Kumar Meena, Additional Director General, Directorate General of GST Intelligence, graced the event as the Guest of Honour, while Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, General Manager and Unit Head, BHEL Bhopal, presided as the Chief Guest. Senior officers, including General Managers and DROS, were also present.
This year’s theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, highlighted collective accountability in promoting transparency. Addressing the gathering, Meena encouraged participants to uphold integrity as a guiding principle, remarking that “Integrity is more important than energy and intelligence.”
Upadhyay emphasised that vigilance is not limited to specific occasions but is a continuous practice that should be integrated into everyday conduct. He urged employees to perform their duties with honesty and transparency.
In his welcome note, Vigilance Department Head Sameer Das outlined the week’s activities, which included administering the Integrity Pledge to students at Vikram Higher Secondary School, Jawaharlal Nehru Higher Secondary School, and Kasturba Nursing College.
The programme was coordinated by Rajeev Kumar Roy, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Brij Nandan Chaudhary.
