Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bhopal, has commissioned a state-of-the-art Humidity Controlled Enclosure for transformer assembly under its ongoing CAPEX projects in Block-III, Transformer Division. The facility was formally inaugurated by PK Upadhyay, General Manager and Head of Unit, during a brief ceremony held at the plant recently.
Present on the occasion were senior executives, including Rupesh Telang, GM (Feeders & TCB Mfg., Commercial & Maintenance), SK Mahajan, GM – TCB (Engineering, MM & Services), Asheesh Aurangabadkar, GM (WEX & MOD), GP Baghel, GM (Quality), and Rajesh Agrawal, GM (SOM), along with other senior officers.
BHEL, a leading name in India’s power equipment manufacturing sector, continues to strengthen its infrastructure to meet evolving industry requirements. The new enclosure is designed to provide a controlled assembly environment, significantly reducing the impact of ambient humidity on transformer components.
Officials stated that this advanced facility will further enhance the quality, reliability, and performance of BHEL-manufactured transformers and reactors, particularly in the 400 kV and 765 kV class. With this addition, BHEL reaffirms its leadership in the Indian power transformer manufacturing segment.
