Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been conferred with the prestigious ‘SCOPE Eminence Award’ for the year 2022-23 in the category of Research & Development, Technology Development and Innovation. The Honourable President of India, Droupadi Murmu, presented the award to K. Sadashiv Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL, and S.M. Ramanathan, Director (Engineering, R&D). The ceremony was also graced by the Honourable Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary.
The award recognises excellence, innovation and leadership among Public Sector Enterprises. On this occasion, members of the BHEL Board, including Krishna Kumar Thakur, Director (HR), Tajinder Gupta, Director (Power), and Bani Varma, Director (IS&P), were also present.
This recognition underscores BHEL’s pioneering contribution in the field of research and innovation and highlights its vital role in advancing the nation’s progress.
