Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) is set to host a series of patriotic and cultural events to commemorate India’s 79th Independence Day. The week-long celebration, organized by the BHEL Cultural and National Integration Committee, will bring together employees, families and the community.
The festivities kick off on August 13, 2025, with a vibrant cultural program performed by children at 6:30 PM at the Cultural Bhawan in Piplani.
On August 14, the spirit of giving will take center stage as Smt. Rosie Upadhyay, President of the BHEL Ladies Club, distributes fruits to patients at Kasturba Hospital at 11:30 AM.
The main event on August 15 will begin with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony at 9:00 AM at the Administrative Building, led by Shri Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, General Manager and Head of BHEL, Bhopal. The day will culminate with an “All India Mushaira” at 8:00 PM at the Cultural Bhawan. The poetic evening will feature renowned poets from across the country, including Dr. Kaleem Qaiser (Gorakhpur), Tahir Faraz (Rampur), Gule Saba Fatehpuri (Fatehpur), Sundar Malegaon (Malegaon), Ashwani Mittal “Ash” (Maharashtra), and local poet Chitransh Khare (Bhopal).
