Bhopal: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, BHEL Bhopal organised a two-day community welfare camp at the Government Secondary School, Dobra Jagir, in Phanda (Rural) block of Bhopal district. The programme aimed to improve healthcare access and promote health awareness among villagers.
On the first day, a medical camp was held in which specialist doctors conducted health check-ups and distributed medicines free of cost to residents. The initiative benefited a large number of villagers, particularly the elderly and women, who often have limited access to medical facilities.
The second day focused on a health awareness programme, during which villagers were educated on maintaining good health through regular exercise, yoga and pranayama. Emphasis was also laid on the importance of balanced nutrition, and nutritious food items were distributed to participants.
The two-day camp was organised under the guidance of Executive Director (HR) T U Singh and General Manager Pamela Sachdev (Medical Services). Senior officials from BHEL’s Town Administration Department, Kasturba Hospital, school authorities and the village sarpanch were present, reflecting BHEL’s continued commitment to community development and social welfare.
