BHEL Bhopal observes ‘Swachhotsav’

By BHEL Correspondent

Bhopal: The BHEL Bhopal unit organised the “Swachhta hi Seva” fortnight, celebrated this year as “Swachhotsav,” promoting cleanliness and health awareness across the plant and township.

The campaign commenced with a “Cleanliness Pledge” and included comprehensive health check-ups for all sanitation workers. Conducted under the supervision of medical staff from the OHS department, the examinations covered diabetes, blood pressure, and general health parameters. Workers were briefed on their health reports, which were also shared with senior officials. The initiative was coordinated by the HSE department in collaboration with HR, OHS, and Factory Civil divisions.

During the fortnight, several activities were organised, including award distribution to sanitation workers, awareness sessions on health and safety, and distribution of soaps and gloves. Intensive cleaning drives were carried out across factory premises, residential areas, and Clean Target Units (CTUs).

The fortnight underscored BHEL Bhopal’s commitment to hygiene, worker welfare, and a cleaner environment in alignment with the national Swachh Bharat Mission.
