BHEL Bhopal inaugurates reconditioned Skoda Horizontal Borer

Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bhopal, marked another milestone in its modernisation drive with the inauguration of a reconditioned Skoda Horizontal Borer Machine at the Electrical Machinery Department. The machine was formally inaugurated by Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, General Manager and Head of the unit, during a brief programme held on-site.

Senior officials including Rupesh Telang, General Manager (Feeders, TCB-Manufacturing, Commercial & Maintenance); Vikas Khare, General Manager (EM); Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, General Manager (SOM); Ashish Aurangabadkar, General Manager (WEX & MOD); and Santosh Dongre, General Manager (Feeders), were present on the occasion, along with other senior departmental staff.

The reconditioning work was carried out by the Works Engineering & Services Department in record time and at minimal cost. The upgrade has not only revitalised the machine but is also expected to significantly improve production processes, enhance output quality, and reduce operational costs.

BHEL Bhopal has consistently undertaken such technology-driven initiatives to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities. The company emphasised that these efforts are central to boosting efficiency, driving innovation, and maintaining a competitive edge in the industry.
