Bhopal: The Annual Quality Awards ceremony was held recently at BHEL, Bhopal, with Executive Director Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay attending as the chief guest. The programme aimed to further strengthen the organisation’s quality culture and promote continuous improvement by recognising the outstanding contributions of employees and business partners.
In his keynote address, Upadhyay said quality remains BHEL’s core strength and a key foundation of its success in a competitive global environment. He attributed the organisation’s achievements to continuous improvement, innovation, teamwork and the commitment of employees. He congratulated the award winners and vendor partners, underlining that long-term partnerships with vendors form a strong pillar of BHEL’s quality journey.
G.P. Baghel, General Manager (Quality & Business Excellence), said BHEL’s identity is closely linked with world-class quality standards, robust systems and a culture of continuous improvement. He also highlighted the organisation’s EEPC Quality Award 2025 and its Gold and Par Excellence honours at national and international quality circle conventions.
General Manager (Materials Management) Vipul Agarwal emphasised the role of material management and vendor partners in ensuring quality and environmental protection. Vendors were also honoured for their environmental initiatives. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Anurag Shukla, AGM (Business Excellence & Quality – Feeders).
