Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bhopal, marked a major milestone on Friday with the dispatch of its 100th 765 kV, 500 MVA transformer for PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited. The unit was flagged off from the New TRM Block by Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, General Manager and Unit Head.
The event was attended by Subodh Rout, Senior Deputy General Manager of PowerGrid, along with several senior executives of BHEL including Rupesh Telang, GM (Feeders & TCB, Manufacturing, Commercial & Maintenance); Vipul Agarwal, GM (Materials Management); G. P. Baghel, GM (Quality); S. K. Mahajan, GM (TCB–Engineering Services & MM); Alok Sengar, GM (Fabrication); Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, GM (SOM); and Pradeep Chandra Kandpal, GM (Thermal & Logistics). A large number of employees were also present.
This achievement sets an important record for the highest number of 765 kV class transformers supplied to a single customer. It stands as a testament to BHEL Bhopal’s advanced technological capabilities, its steadfast commitment to quality, and its continued role in strengthening India’s power sector.
