BHEL Bhopal Champions Green Initiative = Environment awareness month kicks off with tree plantation drive

Bhopal, BHEL Bhopal is going green! The organization is observing Environment Awareness Month from June 5 to July 4, 2025, with a series of initiatives aimed at fostering ecological responsibility.

Today, furthering this commitment, Shri Rupesh Telang, General Manager (Feeders & TCB Manufacturing, Commercial, Maintenance), led a tree plantation drive near the CIT department. The event saw the participation of key officials, including Shri Ved Vrat Khare, Additional General Manager (CIM, CIT, TGM, PRM, DVS), Shri Dushyant Subedar, Deputy General Manager (CIM), Shrimati Preeti Nimje, Senior Manager (CIM), along with other senior officers and dedicated employees.

In his address, Shri Telang urged everyone to embrace the principle of “Two Hands, Two Trees,” encouraging each individual to plant two trees annually. Echoing this sentiment, Shri Khare emphasized the crucial next step: “After planting the trees, we must also fulfill the responsibility of protecting them. Only then will our efforts towards the environment be truly meaningful.”

This year’s plantation focused on a variety of beneficial species, including Amla, Papaya, Kadam, and Mango, all chosen for their fruit-bearing, shade-providing, and health-promoting qualities. This initiative highlights BHEL Bhopal’s dedication to creating a greener, healthier environment for its community and beyond.
