BHEL bags 2nd prize for official language excellence

Bhopal: The BHEL Bhopal unit has been honoured with the “Second Prize” for outstanding implementation of the Official Language during 2024–25 in the Large Unit Category of Regions “Ka” and “Kha”. The award was presented by K. Sadashiv Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director, BHEL, at the Management Committee meeting held at the Corporate Office in New Delhi. Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, General Manager and Unit Head of BHEL Bhopal, received the award on behalf of the unit.

At a simple ceremony organised at BHEL Bhopal, Upadhyay handed over the award to Thakur Umanath Singh, General Manager (HR); Poonam Sahu, Manager (HR–Rajbhasha/CISF Coordination); and the dedicated Rajbhasha team. The recognition highlights the unit’s continued commitment to promoting and strengthening the use of the Official Language across its operations.
