Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav urged the citizens to combat wastage of water and embrace its conservation. Highlighting the declining groundwater levels as a major concern, CM Dr Yadav emphasized to plant trees progressively. Calling for a collective Action to Replenish Resources, State Government has launched Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan in Response to Urgent Needs, Ensuring Sustained Efforts for Water Conservation.
Dr. Yadav was addressing the Shramdaan program organized to make an unusable pond located in Bhanwarsala of Indore city useful, increase its water capacity, and beautify it. Dr. Yadav accompanied by the Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya and Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat and other public representatives and citizens offered shramdaan.
CM Yadav emphasized the significance of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, stating that it will significantly enhance the state’s water resources and mark a substantial stride towards environmental enhancement.
Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat said that the state government is working with a fresh resolve aiming at the development of the state. Focussing on water conservation and promotion in the state, work is being done simultaneously to renovate and deepen wells, step wells, ponds, and rivers and increase their water capacity in all the urban and rural areas of the state.
