New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday said today that the India Mobile Congress (IMC) and India’s growing success in the telecom sector reflect the strength of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision
Addressing the ninth edition of IMC 2025, he highlighted India’s launch of a Made-in-India 4G stack, calling it a major indigenous achievement that places the country among just five nations in the world with this capability.
“India has launched its Made-in-India 4G stack. This is a major indigenous achievement for the country. With this, India has joined the list of just five countries in the world that possess this capability. We have the world’s second-largest telecom market, the second-largest 5G market, and the manpower, mobility, and mindset to lead,” the Prime Minister said.
“Digital connectivity in India is no longer a privilege or a luxury, it’s now an integral part of every Indian’s life. This is the best time to invest, innovate, and make in India,”he added.
“In mobile, telecom, electronics, and the entire technology ecosystem, wherever there are global bottlenecks, India has the opportunity to provide solutions to the world,” he said.
This year’s theme, ‘Innovate to Transform’, showcases India’s leadership in digital transformation.
IMC 2025 is Asia’s largest telecom technology event, and will witness participation from over 400 companies, about 7,000 global delegates, and around 1.5 lakh visitors from more than 150 countries.
Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said India has moved from being a technology follower to the “digital flag-bearer of the world,” with the country’s telecom revolution resting on four Ds — Democracy, Demography, Digital First, and Delivery.
“The 4D system created by PM Modi is shaping India’s growth and setting an example for the whole world. The country is also witnessing a DSS revolution, which stands for Designing in India, Solving for India, and Scaling from India,” Scindia added.
