Bengal: Six people die in car-truck collision at Malda

Malda, Aug 18 (UNI) Six people were killed and another critically injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling, hit a truck on the rear near Gor-Malda station under English Bazar in West Bengal’s Malda district, official sources said on Sunday.

The mishap happened when the SUV, which was on a high speed was on its way from Kaliachak to Malda, slammed into the rear of a truck around 11 PM on Saturday on NH 34.

The five occupants of the SUV died on the spot and another succumbed to multiple injuries at the Malda Hospital.

Another injured occupant was under treatment, sources added.
