Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday announced a 15-member India U19 squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Dubai from December 12.
Top order batter Ayush Mhatre has been named captain of the side, while Vihaan Malhotra will serve as vice captain. “The Junior Cricket Committee has picked the India U19 squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup to take place in Dubai from 12th December,” the BCCI statement said.
The Junior Selection Committee has also named four standby players: Rahul Kumar, Hemchudeshan J, B.K. Kishore and Aditya Rawat, who will be available should any changes be required before the tournament begins.
India has been placed in Group A, alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 3, setting the stage for a high-voltage group phase. Group B features Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Qualifier 2.
