BCCI announces Rs 21-cr purse for winning Asia Cup

Dubai, Sep 28 (UNI) India’s triumphant run in the Asia Cup 2025 not only brought glory on the field but also a prize purse of 21 crore rupees, to be shared among players and support staff.

The Men in Blue stamped their dominance with an unbeaten campaign, culminating in a stunning victory over Pakistan in the final of Asia Cup 2025 here today.

Three blows, zero response — India’s performance was a masterclass of skill, composure, and strategy, leaving their rivals stunned.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the triumph as “Operation Sindoor on the games field,” highlighting the fiery spirit and determination that drove India to the title.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the team’s energy and consistency, tweeting: “A phenomenal victory. The fierce energy of our boys blew up the rivals again. Bharat is destined to win no matter which field.”

President of India Droupadi Murmu also congratulated the squad, noting their flawless run through the tournament. “The team did not lose any match in the tournament, marking its dominance in the game. I wish Team India sustained glory in the future,” she said, underlining the historic nature of India’s unbeaten campaign.

From the emerging stars who rose to the occasion to the strategic brilliance executed on the field, India’s Asia Cup victory stands as a testament to resilience, teamwork, and preparation.
