- Students will get their degrees, marksheets, and other documents directly on email
Bhopal: Barkatullah University (BU) is set to update its degree and marksheet distribution system, moving to a paperless process. The university administration has decided to send degrees, marksheets, and other documents directly to students’ email addresses, eliminating the need for physical paperwork. To implement this, students are now being asked to provide their email IDs and mobile numbers on their examination forms.
Previously, BU had to spend millions on paper and postal services to send degrees and marksheets, and the process was often cumbersome. By switching to email distribution, BU aims to simplify the system and cut down on costs. As soon as exam results are declared, students will receive their marksheets directly in their inbox. Those graduating in their final year will also receive their degree via email, with no need for additional applications or fee payments.
Moreover, BU will use DigiLocker to provide digital degrees and other documents. These documents, authenticated with the e-signatures of Vice Chancellor Suresh Kumar Jain and Registrar IK Mansuri, will be available for students without the need to visit the university for verification. To access these digital documents, students must register on the DigiLocker portal and make an online payment for a nominal fee. Once the payment is completed, the documents will be delivered to students within two minutes, offering a quick, efficient, and paper-free solution.
