Bahujan Samaj stands firmly with mission and ideology of BSP: Mayawati

Lucknow, Oct 16 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati today said that the historic event of ‘Manyvar Shri Kanshi Ram Ji Smarak Sthal’ celebrated on October 9, the death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram, proved that the Bahujan Samaj still stands firmly with the mission, ideology and leadership of the BSP.

Mayawati congratulated all officials, workers and supporters from across the state for the unprecedented success of this event and urged them to now fully mobilise for the upcoming assembly elections.

Presiding over a state-level review meeting in Lucknow, she said that the BSP, unlike other parties, is not a party dependent on capitalists and industrialists. “It is an organisation committed to social change and economic liberation, striving for the upliftment of millions of poor people, labourers, Dalits, backward classes, tribals, Muslims and other religious minorities,” she said.

The BSP supremo said that the party’s rule in Uttar Pradesh was a golden period in terms of law and order, development and public welfare, when the common people felt safe and respected.

“Parties like the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) promote casteism, communalism and capitalist thinking,” she alleged.

Adding further, she said the current government’s decision to charge tickets for the grand monuments, parks and memorials built during the BSP’s rule is an insult to the sentiments of the Bahujan Samaj. “Only by reversing this decision can the current government show respect to the public,” she said.

“BSP conducts its politics based on honesty, dedication and service, not through deceit or false propaganda,” Mayawati said. She directed party officials who have been slacking in strengthening the party organisation to immediately become active in their respective areas and begin preparations for the assembly elections.

It was also decided at the meeting that under ‘Bahujan Mission 2027’, the BSP will go from village to village to communicate with the public.

Mayawati said that the party will never compromise on its principles. She appealed to party workers to be wary of the misleading propaganda of opposition parties and to unite and strengthen the voice of the Bahujan Samaj.

“The BSP’s goal is not to gain power, but to establish a system based on the principles of social justice, economic equality and humanity. BSP is the only party that unites society, and not divides it.”

The goal now is to form a full-majority BSP government again in 2027 and to advance the policy of ‘Sarvajana Hitaay, Sarvajana Sukhay’ in the state, she concluded.
