Ayushman Yojana elevates healthcare in MP: Deputy CM Shukla

Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla lauded the Ayushman Yojana for empowering 4.5 crore citizens, enabling free treatment at top hospitals. Speaking at the launch of a private hospital in Hata, Damoh, he highlighted the state’s strides in reducing maternal and infant mortality, positioning Madhya Pradesh as a healthcare frontrunner.

Empowering Rural Access

Shukla credited the scheme’s ?9,800 crore funding to hospitals for enhancing rural healthcare. The initiative has spurred private investment in remote areas, complementing public services. Subsidies for multi-specialty hospitals in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities are further strengthening infrastructure, aiming to rival states like Kerala.

The state is expanding health facilities, with community health centers now accessing medical college specialists via video calls. Shukla stressed regular antenatal care (ANC) checks on the 9th and 25th of each month to ensure safe pregnancies, urging citizens to raise awareness.

Minister Lakhan Patel announced plans for 50 medical colleges, ensuring widespread access to quality care. Local leaders, including MLA Uma Devi Khatik, celebrated Hata’s new hospital as a beacon of service-driven healthcare.
