AYUSH PG admissions: 103 seats up for grabs in second stray vacancy round

Bhopal: The Directorate of AYUSH, Madhya Pradesh, has launched the second phase of the ‘Stray Vacancy’ round to fill remaining post-graduate seats. A total of 103 MD and MS seats are currently vacant across 15 AYUSH PG colleges—six government and nine private—situated in Bhopal, Indore, Ratlam, Rewa, Ujjain, and Gwalior.

Out of the total 377 PG seats in the state, the current vacancies are distributed as follows:

* – Ayurveda: 16 vacant seats (out of 176)

* – Homeopathy: 87 vacant seats (out of 182)

* -Unani: 0 vacant seats (out of 19)

= Crucial deadlines for candidates

AIAPGET-qualified doctors are competing for these spots through MP Online. Following the choice-filling and locking process completed on December 16, the timeline for the final push is:

* -December 17: Release of college-wise merit lists.

* -December 18: Mandatory reporting at respective colleges.

* -December 19 (by 5:00 PM): Deadline for final admission.

Dr. Rakesh Pandey, National Spokesperson of the AYUSH Medical Association, emphasized that passing the AIAPGET is mandatory for specialists-in-training. Officials are optimistic that this final round will successfully fill the specialized MD/MS seats for the 2025–26 session.
