Authorities crack down on unauthorised persons at Bhopal Railway Station

Bhopal: In a major operation aimed at enhancing passenger safety and convenience, Railway Protection Force (RPF) Bhopal Division has set up a special “camp court” at Bhopal railway station to penalize individuals violating railway rules.

Under the guidance of Principal Chief Security Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Yadav and Divisional Security Commissioner Dr. Abhishek, “Operation Octopus” has been launched to crack down on illegal activities within the railway premises. As part of this drive, a railway magistrate, Anurag Khare, held a temporary court at the station.

During the proceedings, the RPF presented 179 cases against individuals caught engaging in various illegal activities. These included unauthorized vending of food and beverages, littering, and trespassing on railway property. The court imposed fines totaling Rs 3,15,320 on the offenders.

This swift action has been widely praised by railway passengers, who view it as a significant step toward improving cleanliness, security, and the overall travel experience at the station.
