‘Jeevan kee aapaadhaapee mein bhool gae gunagunaana/Jaanen kabse nahin sunee alagaujhe kee dhun… or.. Jabase mera ghar poochha hai mere ladaqe ne/ Mere paanv ukhaad die ek jhatake mein’ – such touching lines echoed in Hindi Bhavan on Tuesday evening. The occasion was the Geet Dhara program organized at Hindi Bhawan.
This time senior lyricists Mayank Srivastava and Madhu Shukla presented their songs in this program organized every month by Mahila Shakti Cell of Madhya Pradesh Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti and Hindi Bhavan Trust. Committee Chairman Sukhdev Dubey presided over the program. On this occasion, the committee’s minister director Kailashchandra Pant and acting minister director Dr. Surendrabihari Goswami was specially present. Mayank Srivastava, known for his powerful voice and special style of presentation, presented many of his new and old songs. Among these – ‘Aag lagti jaa rahi ann paani mein’, the song ‘Jo tum padha behichak hamara hai’ etc. were liked a lot. At the same time, Madhu Shukla enthralled the attendees by reciting compositions like ‘Deepawali Geet, Rishton Ke Beech Buna Ek Taana-Bana and New Year Geet’.
In his presidential address on this occasion, Sukhdev Prasad Dubey said that litterateurs should not think that the society is being cut off from literature. If only the litterateur starts thinking like this then we cannot expect anything from the society. Minister Director Kailashchandra Pant commented on the creations of both the writers and wished them all the best. Acting Minister Director Dr. Surendrabihari Goswami also presented a devotional composition. The program was organized by the cell’s coordinator Anita Saxena.
