Bhopal: Panic gripped Bhopal’s Misrod area when approximately 20-25 masked criminals armed with weapons entered the Magic Spot Cafe. Armed with swords, sticks, and rods, the attackers vandalized the cafe’s counter, glasses, chairs, and coffee machines, destroying numerous items. Employees were also assaulted, while customers, frightened by the sudden attack, managed to escape.
CCTV footage of the incident is going viral. DCP Zone 2 Vivek Singh stated that the assailants vandalized the cafe in less than two minutes and fled. Preliminary investigations indicate that the attackers did not intend to rob. They simply entered the cafe, vandalized it, and fled. This leads police to suspect a feud.
Cafe owner Saksham Giri has not provided any specific details about the feud, but he has listed some suspects in the FIR, including Yogi, Nikhil, and Abhishek.
DCP Vivek Singh said that two of the suspects mentioned in the FIR have been rounded up and their interrogation is ongoing. Their statements are being taken.
Joint teams from three police stations deployed
Considering the seriousness of the attack, the police have deployed joint teams from three police stations, including Misrod, Bagh Sewania, and Katara Hills. Vivek Singh said that teams from all three police stations are investigating different angles. The investigation is underway based on footage, grounds for suspicion, route maps, and potential conflicts.
The attackers had their faces covered, making identification difficult. However, police have found some clues, which teams are working on.
