Bhopal: A 34-year-old Assistant Professor, Jitendra Dhakad, was found dead yesterday morning after allegedly committing suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Sai Nath Colony, Kolar.
Dhakad, currently on attachment with the Culture Department, was discovered around 10 a.m. His wife, also an Assistant Professor based in Chhatarpur, had been visited by him just two days prior.
Kolar police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Police officials, including TI Sanjay Soni, confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene and the victim’s mobile phone was switched off. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Authorities stated that further details and the motive for the apparent suicide would likely emerge once the statements of his wife are officially recorded. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic death.
