- Tribal student incentive and felicitation ceremony in Khalwa of Khandwa dist
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that with the appointment of Droupadi Murmu from the tribal class to the highest post of President in the country, historical work is being done in the interest and honor of the tribal class. Important decisions have also been taken in this direction in Madhya Pradesh. This year, folk artists of the tribal class were also invited in Baba Mahakal’s procession. Union Tribal Minister Durgadas Uike himself came to Ujjain and participated in the first puja. Earlier, this opportunity was given to the Chief Minister or other distinguished person.
CM said that public representatives, citizens and students of the tribal class will be given the benefit of educational incentives and pilgrimage-darshan scheme. He was addressing the Tribal Student Promotion and Honor Ceremony organized in Khalwa of Khandwa district today. He also made many important announcements in the interest of the tribal class.
Free coaching facility
Dr. Yadav said that under the Aakanksha Yojana, students of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category of the state are being provided free coaching facility for national level entrance examinations like JEE, NEET, AIIMS and CLAT etc. The process of implementation of Aakanksha Yojana is being started in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain divisions. Under the scheme, students will be able to get free coaching facility in 5 big cities of the state, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Gwalior. Today, as a symbol, an amount of Rs 2 lakh each is being provided to five students under the scholarship scheme for studying abroad.
Dr. Yadav said that such programs will be organized in every tribal dominated district. Now members of poor tribal families are also going abroad to study. The happiness I have seen in the eyes of the parents of those children today is amazing. This is a matter of real joy.
CM Dr. Yadav inaugurated the felicitation ceremony by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uike and State Minister for Tribal Affairs Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah were present. CM Dr. Yadav provided a scholarship of about Rs 35 lakh including university fees and other expenses to talented tribal student Shri Asharam Palvi for studying in London.
