Chitrakoot artisan Rajendra Prasad said that toys are made from cedar wood. For the first time, he has brought a special type of bow which looks exactly like a gun and on pressing the trigger, the arrow comes out of the bow and hits the target directly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for Vocal for Local has once again strengthened the woodcraft. Rajendra Prasad said that Madhya Pradesh has been rich in woodcraft tradition since ancient times. Wheels of carts, doors of houses, masks had lost their identity with time, but
Dudhi wood is also used
Shilpi Niranjan Kumar, who came from Budhni, said that toys are made from Dudhi wood in Budhni. It is said that this wood is full of medicinal properties. Even if children put these toys in their mouth while playing, they do not suffer any harm. These do not harm the environment like plastic toys.
