Armed Forces, CAPF, NCC Bands to enliven Delhi on Independence Day

New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) To celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day, several iconic locations across the national capital will witness live performances by the bands of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

These musical events aim to add rhythm and grandeur to the nation’s festivities, offering citizens a memorable opportunity to experience patriotic fervour through stirring tunes and disciplined artistry, a Defence ministry statement said.

The Indian Army Band will perform at India Gate, Indian Navy Band at Central Park CP, IAF Band at Kartavya Path, the iconic Qutub Minar will see the performance by NCC, CRPF Band at Vijay Chowk, ITBP Band at Purana Quila, CISForce Band at the historic Red Fort, SSB Band at KV Sec 8 RK Puram, BSF Band at National Police Memorial, RPF Band at Nizamuddin Railway Station and New Delhi Railway Station.

This year’s performances are designed to take the celebrations beyond traditional venues, with bands playing at major public spaces, parks, and cultural hubs in Delhi. Audiences will be immersed in a rich repertoire of patriotic songs, martial music, and classical pieces, evoking pride and inspiring a sense of collective belonging.

Band performances by the Armed Forces, CAPF, RPF, and NCC will not only honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters but also strengthen the spirit of unity and patriotism. The joyous and uplifting music serves as a reminder of India’s diverse heritage and the disciplined dedication of its protectors.

The band performances in Delhi are part of a nation-wide effort to enhance the Independence Day celebrations. Band performances will take place across the length and breadth of the country across 96 cities.

Citizens have been invited to witness this spectacular convergence of music and patriotism. The performances will take place in the evening at 5 pm.
