Srikakulam, Nov 1 (UNI) Launching the most prestigious free gas cylinder distribution Deepam-2 scheme at Eedupuram of Ichapuram mandal in Srikakulam district on Friday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, visited the house of one of the beneficiaries Ambati Santhamma, where he himself supplied the cooking gas cylinder to her.
The Chief Minister flagged off the transport vehicles carrying the gas cylinders and elicited the opinion of various beneficiaries on the welfare schemes being implemented in the state within 143 days of the TDP-led NDA coming to power.
He also visited the house of another woman beneficiary Balijepalli Janaki, and personally handed over her the NTR Bharosa pension amounting to Rs 4,000. Naidu also inquired about her health.
Janaki felt very happy as none other than the Chief Minister himself visited her house.
Earlier, the Chief Minister was given a warm welcome at Eedupuram helipad by the Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Minister for Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar, District Incharge Minister Kondapalli Srinivasa Rao, along with the local MLA Dr Beladam Ashok and district officials headed by the District Collector and the Superintendent of Police.
The Chief Minister had a discussion with the ministers and the officials at the helipad for a few minutes.
