Los Angeles, Nov 17 (UNI) Indian digital star and actor Anushka Sen is expanding her creative horizons with the release of her debut single, “Chameleon,” marking her first venture into music, as reported by Variety.
The pop track features Sen’s vocal debut and is produced by Ken Lewis, the two-time Grammy winner and eight-time nominee known for his work with Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye West.
Over his prolific career, Lewis has been part of 79 Billboard No. 1 hits, bringing significant industry weight to the project.
Sen, who commands a massive online following of nearly 40 million across platforms, began her career as a child actor on Indian television before becoming a prominent digital creator.
In 2024, she made her streaming debut in Prime Video’s coming-of-age drama Dil Dosti Dilemma, earning acclaim for her performance.
“Chameleon” was recorded during Sen’s recent trip to the U.S., where Lewis helped shape the song into a dynamic pop anthem that reflects her artistic evolution.
The track delves into themes of transformation, identity, and self-determination, rooted in Sen’s long-standing connection to music, which she studied from a young age under her mother’s guidance.
“Music has always been a part of my life, but I never imagined I’d have the courage to actually create something of my own and share it with the world,” Sen said to Variety.
“Chameleon’ was born out of a very personal space – it’s about evolution, identity, and not letting the world define you.”
She added, “I’ve always been someone who likes doing things differently. People often expect you to stay in one lane, to keep doing what you’re known for, but I’ve never believed in that.”
Sen also credited her Bengali heritage for shaping her multidisciplinary approach to the arts, spanning dance, music, and acting.
“Being a Bengali, it’s been super inspiring for me to immerse myself in different forms of art,” she said. “Through this new journey, I’ll be able to learn, merge everything and create something new.”
“Chameleon” releases worldwide on November 18, with the audio version launching first.
